CORN’s price move from 27.83 to 24.67 looks like a typical wave 2, 62% retracement for minor 2 of major [1]-P3.

WEAT price at 10.70 today is nearing a violation of the P2 low at 10.62. Thus if 10.62 is breached then the move up to 14.07 was minor 4 of major [C]-P2 and minor 5 of major [C]-P2 needs to complete above the 10.25 Cycle low.

6:30 pm EST: Here are the updates to both CORN and WEAT wave counts. Both appear to be in a minor 2 of major [1]-P3 corrective wave that is complete or nearly complete at the typical 50%/62% retracement. Both counts remain valid above their respective P2 lows of 22.62 and 10.62.

3:05 pm EST: Here is a CORN wave count update for the new year. CORN is correcting in wave (2) of minor 3 of major [1]-P3. The target is the 62%/78% retrace of 26.27/25.90. Once complete wave (3) of minor 3 should head for the 29.50 and 32.09 pivots.

7:10 pm EST: CORN price continues its wave minor 3 of major [1]-P3 move higher towards the 32.0 to 34.0 pivot area over the next 3 to 6 months. Wave minute (1) of minor 3 should end in the 28.33 area over the next few days to a week before the minor 2 correction back to 26.85 for a 50% fib retrace.

7:00 pm EST: The CORN (US Grains) wave count looks good coming off the P2 low of 22.62 established in early October. The next CORN target is around the 32.0 pivot for the completion of major [1]-P3 wave. Wave minor 1 of major [1] looks to have complete at 27.09 and minor 2 may have completed near the 50% retrace of 25.43. If not there is a deeper minor 2 retrace target at 24.32 per the alternate (blue) count variation.

5:20 pm EST: CORN looks to be carving out the P2 bottom (22.62) just above the 88% fib retrace (21.89) of P1. My initial target for minor 1 of major [1]-P3 was nearly met today at 25.18 vs target of 25.30.

11:40 am EST: Here is the CORN Wave count update. CORN is looks to be finding a P2 bottom in this area of $23 to $21, which is right at the 88% fib retrace of P1 at 21.89. The first upside target is the 25.30 area, where the last break-down occurred.

11:45 pm EST: The WEAT price just hit the major [C]=[A] target of 11.31 to potentially complete the P2 wave down from the year 2012 P1 high of 25.94. WEAT price must remain above the 10.25 Cycle low from 2010 for this wave count to remain valid.
CORN price is also hitting a potential P2 bottoming area here at the 23.79 pivot. The Cycle low from 2009 is 18.83, which is the lower limit for this P2 wave.

11:25 pm EST: Here is a look at the daily chart of JJG (Grains EFT) over the past 3 years. Positive divergences on RSI, MACD and STO are building here in the fall of 2014, much like in the fall of 2011 before the last sustained move higher in JJG during 2012.
