April 24th, 2013: Afternoon/EOD Update

Posted by pugsma on April 24, 2013

2:40 pm EST:  The minuette and minute degree wave count is a little messy right now because of the quick drop and bounce back from 1580 to 1562 to 1578 yesterday.  However, it can be counted as a double corrective irregular flat and triangle connected by an x-wave.  I’m showing this on level detail on the 5-min char below.  I don’t plan to carry a 5-min chart wave count going forward, it’s a one-time only thing to help explain the count on the 15-min chart.

The primary count has minute degree wave (5) of minor C of major [B]-P4-C3 finishing up here at the 78% retrace of 1583 to 88% retrace of 1590.   However it will take a break below the wave (1) level of 1553 to confirm that minor C of major [B] has ended.  There are also higher potential targets for major [B] at the 100% retrace of 1597 (flat P4) or even 1611 (expanded flat P4).  Once major [B] is confirmed complete, then the major [C]-P4 wave will drop about 100-125 points down to the 38% retrace of P3 target of 1472.

The alternate (blue) remains unchanged from yesterday, in that major [5]-P3-C3 is headed much higher to 1640 or above.  This alternate count would be confirmed on a move above 1611.
